BAC Local 5 New York Union Information

UNION ID CARDS

BAC Local 5 New York will be taking pictures of all members for new Union ID Cards.  It will be mandatory for each member to carry this card on each and every job.  If you are asked to produce this card to a BAC Union Official and you do not have it, you will have to produce it the next day on the job.  If you do not have it the next day, you will not be able to work that day.  You will not be able to return to work unless you can show your ID Card.

Pictures will be taken every Monday from 10:00 am until Noon at the Apprentice Building at 60 Pierces Road, Newburgh, New York.

IMPORTANT MEMBER NOTICES

Any member refusing to go to work when called out will be automatically terminated from the Welfare Plan and lose their medical benefits.

Any member found working on a job that a Field Representative did not send them to will be brought up on CHARGES.

This office has had numerous complaints about some Local 5 members checking the books of other members.  This is a violation of our Constitution and also against the law.  Only Field Representatives and Shop Stewards have the right to inspect union books.  In the future, members that insist on interfering with the Officers and Shop Stewards jobs will be brought up on CHARGES.
